“Not affiliated with 7-eleven” - The Big Gulp Zine Editorial Layout and Design
Mountain Archives, Maxim B. Vidricaire - Photographer & collaborator
A 64-page zine captures The Big Gulps's chaotic charm in Revelstoke, BC, with film photography and crowd-sourced stories from the 2024 show season.

Maxim invited me to help shape a zine that captured the raw, unfiltered spirit of The Big Gulps. Drawing from their gritty, DIY aesthetic, I used a bold, 7-Eleven-inspired colour palette and rough, handwritten typography to reflect the band’s chaotic charm. We curated film photos and fan quotes, keeping the layout loose and expressive. After much (maybe too much) deliberation over paper stocks, we landed on a soft-touch cover with glossy accents that felt just right.
Featuring Kelly Denisun, Harry Utsal, Mike Izzard, and Cam McGeough. Together, ”The Big Gulps".

The final zine was printed locally in Canada and launched with two events: a live show to generate buzz and a release party at Mountain Archives, complete with Big Gulp cups of beer and a ton of community excitement. The project was met with genuine enthusiasm and continues to be sold both online and in-store at mountainarchives.ca
